Description
Eukroma 4 % Cream is a topical medicine that contains Hydroquinone. It is used to treat melasma (hyperpigmentation). Melasma occurs due to sun exposure, hormonal changes, ageing, etc. Eukroma 4 % Cream works by reducing the levels of melanin (the pigment responsible for skin darkening) in your skin. Thus, it lightens the dark-coloured patches and spots on your skin. Eukroma 4 % Cream has some minor side effects like redness, dryness, itching, and peeling of the skin.
Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms persist or worsen. Before you start using it, perform a patch test by applying it to a small area on your skin to know how your skin will react to Eukroma 4 % Cream. Discontinue the use if you experience itching or swelling at the site of application. Eukroma 4 % Cream is recommended for external use only.
Clean your hands and the affected area properly before applying this cream. It should be applied before applying other skin preparations (e.g. everyday moisturiser or sunscreen). To see the effects of this medicine, use it regularly as prescribed by your doctor. If you do not notice any improvement in your skin condition even after 2 months of use, consult your doctor for further guidance. Eukroma 4 % Cream is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. This medicine should be used only after your doctor’s recommendation if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
